Short But Sweet

Back to school humour!  Mary’s friend has three boys.  The youngest, Gregory, had just started school.  A teacher commented to Gregory that she couldn’t believe he was already in first class and asked what his mother did all day now that the three boys were in school.  “Cartwheels”, Gregory answered.

Killenaule Juvenile GAA news

Training continues for U6 and U8’s Wed nights at 6:30pm
U8’s took part in Clerihan football blitz in very wet and windy conditions.  They reached the final but lost to a stronger Clerihan team on the day.
Well done to U10s who travelled to Hospital, Co. Limerick and won the B Final playing against Caherline, Co. Limerick. Some excellent hurling played by everyone on the day. Thanks to Hospital/Herbertstown G.A.A. Club for hosting a well organised blitz.
U11s are continuing their winning ways winning their recent football matches against Newcastle and Ballingarry.  However they lost to a stronger Kilsheelan side in their hurling match.

U13’s lost their Feile hurling game to Ballingarry by 4 points.  They will continue training for Peil competition which is starting in coming week.

U16s had a great win against Anner Gaels in their hurling semi final. Leading by 2 points at half time the team pushed on in the second half giving their all to a comfortable win in the end. Thanks to the great support we had on the night.

The U16s lost the South Hurling Final to Mullinahone 3-10 to 2-6. We got the perfect start scoring 1-1 in the first minutes and were still leading the game at half time. Mullinahone had a stronger second half going onto win the match. This was a brave team performance and they fought to the bitter end.

Thanks to the parents for their help during the year. Special thanks to the players who have shown great commitment and made great progress during the year, ye’re a credit to the club. Finally thanks to the coaches Martin Hassett, Liam Fitzgerald and others who helped during the year, Dan Croke, Mathew O’Donnell, Bubbles and Jack O’Connell.
