Killenaule Juvenile GAA Club News

The U8’s played Holycross in a recent challenge game and also travelled to Cashel playing 4 games showing some great displays of hurling .

The U11’s have made a great start in their tournaments by winning their football games v Ballyporeen and Fethard.  They also won their hurling game v Carrick Davins in a closely fought encounter.

Hard luck to our U14 team who lost to Grangemockler in the South Semi in injury time. We got off to a slow start and were trailing 1-5 to 0-3 but put in a brave performance in the second half. With time running out and leading by 4 points it looked like we had done enough but credit to Grangemockler who never gave up and scored 1-1 in injury time to win on scoreline of 2-13 to 3-6. Scores on the night came from Adam Ryan, Ben Ruttle, Seamie Healy and Louie Doyle. Well done to all the players who have improved with each game in this campaign. Thanks to all the coaches for the great work and progress made with this team.

Congratulations and well done to U14 player Louie Doyle and Tipperary team on winning the All Ireland U14 Tony Forristal Tournament.

Congratulations and well done to U16 player Darragh Fitzgerald and Tipperary team who reached the final of the U16 tournament.

Short but Sweet

The question I hate the most: “How many children do you have?”  When I first meet people, and they ask what do you do, and do you have children, it gets complicated.  For many years I would only talk of the living children.  As I grew strong enough I was able to own who I was, and would say I have given birth to 4 children, two with feet on the earth, 2 with wings.

Back to School

Our Father in heaven, We’re nearing another changing of  seasons.  Summer is winding down, and a new school year is beginning – just like it did before.  Through this predictable repetition in our calendar and your creation, we see your faithfulness.  Help us to look at the sunrise and remember that You always keep Your promises.  As we approach another transition sending our children back to school, conflicting   emotions wrestle within us.  New fears jostle with new hopes. We’re happy to send out children back to the classroom, and sad to see them go.  We delight in their excitement and worry with them over the unknown.  Calm our hearts, Lord, and give us peace.  Amen
